1. Introduction
Wholesale Real Estate Investing ("we," "us," or "our") operates wholesalerealestateinvesting.com(the "Site"), a directory and review platform for real estate wholesalers and investors. The Site is operated by Wholesale REI. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being fully transparent about what we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it.
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit the Site, create an account, submit reviews or tool listings, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.

2. Information We Collect
2a. Account Information
When you register for an account, we collect your name and email address. If you create an account using email and password, we store a cryptographically hashed version of your password — we never store your raw password and cannot recover it. If you choose to sign in through a third-party authentication provider, that provider supplies your name and email address to us; we do not receive or store your password from that provider. We use account information to authenticate you, manage your account, and communicate with you about activity on your account.
2b. Content You Submit
If you submit a tool listing, write a review, create a community post, post a comment, cast a vote, set up a public profile, or post any other content on the Site, we collect the information you include in that submission. This includes tool names, descriptions, ratings, review text, community post and comment text, links or media you share in community posts, your username or handle, bio, avatar URL, votes you cast on community content, and resource download requests (including the email address provided, which resource was requested, and the timestamp of the request). Content you submit may be displayed publicly on the Site and associated with your account. You are responsible for the accuracy of content you submit.
2c. Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and record your opt-in consent. If you contact us by email or through the Site, we retain a copy of your correspondence, including any personal information you choose to share, in order to respond to you and to maintain a record of our communications.
2d. Automatically Collected Information
Like most websites, we automatically collect certain information when you visit the Site:
- Log data: Your IP address, browser type and version, pages viewed on the Site, referring URL, and the date and time of each request.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and screen resolution.
- Cookies and similar technologies: See our Cookie Policy for a full description of the cookies and similar technologies we use, and how to manage them.
Automatically collected information is used to operate and secure the Site, diagnose technical problems, and understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use it to build individual marketing profiles.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account, and authenticate you when you sign in.
- Display user-submitted reviews and tool listings on the Site after moderation.
- Send transactional emails — such as account verification, password reset, and activity notifications — through an email-delivery provider acting on our behalf.
- Send our newsletter and other opted-in communications to subscribers who have given consent.
- Improve, maintain, and operate the Site and its features.
- Analyze aggregate usage to understand how the Site is used and how it can be improved.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations.
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests.
- Power community features, including displaying posts, computing karma scores, and tracking voting activity.
- Deliver requested downloadable resources to the email address you provide, and send related follow-up communications (you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such email).
- Screen community content for spam, prohibited material, and policy violations using automated tools before publication.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human oversight.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing your personal information, we rely on the following:
- Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and any optional analytics cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or adjusting your cookie preferences.
- Performance of a contract — to create and operate your account, and to fulfill the services you have requested from us.
- Legitimate interests — to improve the Site, prevent fraud, ensure security, and respond to your inquiries, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with a legal requirement to which we are subject.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Site. Cookies are small text files placed in your browser. We use two broad categories: essential cookies required for authentication and security, and optional analytics cookies that help us understand aggregate site usage.
No non-essential cookies load without your consent. Optional analytics cookies are activated only after you opt in. We do not use cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising.
For a complete description of each cookie category, how to provide or withdraw consent, and how to manage cookies through your browser settings, see our Cookie Policy.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below, and only with parties that are bound to handle it consistently with applicable privacy law and this policy.
6a. Service Providers
We engage the following categories of service providers who process data on our behalf in order to operate the Site:
- Hosting and infrastructure provider — hosts the Site and processes request data (such as IP addresses and server logs) as part of delivering the Site to you.
- Authentication provider — handles secure account creation and sign-in, including storing your hashed credentials and managing authentication sessions.
- Email-delivery provider — delivers transactional emails (e.g., account verification, password reset) and newsletter messages on our behalf. This provider receives your email address solely for delivery purposes.
- Analytics provider — helps us understand aggregate, anonymized usage patterns on the Site. Analytics data is loaded only with your consent and is not used to identify you individually.
- AI/automation provider — used to help triage and draft responses to inbound support messages. Content shared with this provider is handled in accordance with applicable data-processing agreements.
- AI content-moderation provider — community posts and comments are processed by an AI screening system before publication to detect spam, prohibited content, and policy violations. This provider processes the text of posts and associated metadata under a data-processing agreement and does not use this data for its own independent purposes.
Each provider is contractually required to process data only for the purposes we specify and in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
6b. Affiliate Partners
The Site contains affiliate links to third-party software tools. When you click an affiliate link, the linked site may receive information such as your IP address or a referral identifier, and may set their own cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not share your account data or personal profile with affiliate partners unless you choose to transact with them directly. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more detail.
6c. Legal Requirements and Safety
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or ourselves.
6d. Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will endeavor to provide advance notice if your information will become subject to a materially different privacy policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Our general retention practices are:
- Account data — retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
- User-submitted content (reviews and listings) — retained while the content is published on the Site. If you delete your account, we may retain anonymized or aggregate representations of that content (e.g., aggregate ratings) that do not identify you.
- Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe. Each newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
- Server logs — typically retained for approximately 90 days for security monitoring and debugging purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
- Legal and compliance records — retained for as long as legally required or necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
- Community posts and comments— retained while your account is active and while the content is published on the Site. If you request account deletion, we will remove or anonymize your community posts. Posts that received significant community engagement (replies, votes) may be retained in anonymized form with the author displayed as "deleted user," unless you specifically request full removal at the time of account deletion.
- Karma and vote records — retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, aggregate karma totals derived from your content may be retained in anonymized form.
- Resource download records — the email address provided and the associated download record are retained for a reasonable period for delivery confirmation and support purposes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights with respect to your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@wholesalerealestateinvesting.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

If you believe we may have collected information from a minor, please contact us at hello@wholesalerealestateinvesting.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted storage of sensitive data at rest, cryptographic hashing of passwords, and HTTPS (TLS) encryption for all data in transit between your browser and our servers.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage system is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Site at your own risk. 11. International Transfers
We are based in the United States and your information may be processed and stored in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. If you are located outside the United States, your use of the Site involves transferring your information to a country whose data protection laws may differ from those in your home country.
Where required by applicable law, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfer of personal data, such as relying on standard contractual clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or Site functionality. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes that significantly affect your rights or how we handle your information, we may also notify registered users by email prior to the change taking effect.
Your continued use of the Site after any updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed of our current practices.
